Patrick Sinning

Patrick Sinning (born January 23, 1987, Leer) is a Dutch basketball coach who has been active in the north of the Netherlands since 2006. Currently he is coach of Exercitia '73 Zernike College 2nd Ladies team, who play in the 2nd Class of the northern district. Early career Sinning started his coaching career in 2007 at BV Exercitia '73 and continues to do so ever since. After 2 years of being assistant coach, he became head coach for the first time in 2010. Alternating between Ladies and Men teams, he is currently coaching the 2nd Ladies Senior team, together with Thijs Westmaas en Casper Blokzijl. Coaching Philosophy Sinning favors a playing style with overall emphasis on defense, consequently resulting in offensive fast-break. Balance between individual and team is very important. During practice, much time is spent on both physical and mental development of players. Other activities Since September 2010, Sinning has become chairman of BV Exercitia '73. He aims to take the club to a higher and more professional level. From the season 2013-2014, a reorganization of the club has been put into action under his command. Within 5 years the club wants to make their return at the national level of basketball in the Netherlands.
