Panda Kopanda is a band from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Panda Kopanda combines the contrasting talents of classically-trained siblings Jonny Agnew (guitar/synth/vocals/cello) and David Agnew (drums/violin) with self-taught musicians Gavin Reid (vocals/guitar) and John Mills (bass). The band has played together since founder member Reid cherry-picked the other three from various other music projects. The band currently co-habits in a Victorian townhouse in south Belfast. The band are currently signed to Belfast-based indie label Furious Tradesmen. The band took their name from a mishearing of the theme song from Hayao Miyazaki's 1972 anime . They normally use the theme song to open their live sets.
