Oscar Sales Cabarron, born April 21, 1941, is a lawyer and the son of Municipal Treasurer Pantaleon Pagador Cabarron and Gaudencia Tarungoy Sales, both from Moalboal, Cebu. Oscar passed the Bar Exams in 1967 and was admitted to the Roll of Attorneys on March 20, 1967. He served as Legal Officer of the Department of Labor and Employment in Zamboanga City from 1967 to 1971. He resigned as Legal Officer of DOLE in 1971 and ran for Vice Mayor of Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur and assumed office in the same year. Later of the following year, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos put the entire country under military rule Martial Law that forced Oscar to resign as Municipal Vice Mayor.
