Damir Primorac

Damir Primorac Ph D (Banja Luka, 24 September 1969.) is a Croatian lawyer, scientific and professor.
Education and specialization
He graduated from Law School at University of Split in 1993, and in 1997 he got a master's degree from the Law School at University of Split with specialization in "Law of the Sea"; the title of his master's thesis was "The Company Capital with special reference to German and Anglo-Saxon Commercial Law". In 2007 he got a Ph.D. from Law School at University of Zagreb., with a dissertation on "Criminal offences against safety of maritime transport".
In 1995 he passed Bar Examination (Judicial State Exam ) and in 2003 he also passed Public Notary Exam. He is a full member of the Croatian Academy of Legal Sciences.
Legal career
On 20 June 1996 he was appointed a judge of the Municipal Court of Split; on 1 February 2005 he was promoted to judge of the County Court of Split and served until September 2008. During this period he became a member and in July 2007 President of Split County Court Judges' Council. From 1999 until 2005 he was a president of Officer's Court for state officers of county offices in Zadar County, Šibenik-Knin County, Split-Dalmatian County and Dubrovnik-Neretva County with seat in Split.
From 1996 until 2008 he was a member of the Electoral Commission of Split-Dalmatian County he participated in the organization of the Elections for representatives in Croatian Parliament, President of Republic of Croatia as well as members of representative bodies in units of local administration and self-administration.
On 2 October 2008 he left government service for private practice, and was enrolled in Directory of Lawyers at Croatian Bar Association together with attorney-at-law he founded Primorac & Partners Law Firm with headquarters in Split and office in Zagreb. The Law Firm started with work on 3 November 2008.
Academic work
He is a co-author of several published books as well as an author and co-author of professional articles and papers. , . He is assistant professor at the University of Mostar, Law School, and .Deputy Head of Department at the Department of Forensic Sciences at University of Split.
Private life
Primorac is married to Å½eljka Primorac, an Assistant Professor at Law School in Split and he is a father of two children.
He is the holder of a black belt 1st Day in tae-kwon-dou and he won third place on the former state championship.
