OrangeProblems is a Consumer organization forum web site, providing a focus for customer discontent with poor customer service from the UK ISP: Orange. It was initially set up as WanadooProblems.co.uk, targeting the UK ISP, Wanadoo, but the name was changed in line with the June 2006 rebranding of Wanadoo to Orange.
The site was originally motivated by problems related to Local Loop Unbundling, but the scope later increased to cover consumer problems with most other aspects of the ISP's operation. It includes sections on regulatory organisations such as Ofcom, UK ISP Trade Association ISPA and many ISP competitors to Orange.
On 4 September 2006, the site was extended to cover Orange's Mobile Phone operation.
Although the majority of contributors are customers and ex-customers of Orange, regular contributions are made by Orange Technical Support and Customer Service staff. Whether any are in an official capacity is unclear.
The site has rapidly become a very popular resource for Orange customers, and has now expanded with a new site called www.talktalkproblems.co.uk for the Carphone Warehouse TalkTalk customers.
The Times daily newspaper recently printed an article using OrangeProblems as a source; and other newspapers such as The Guardian have also used OrangeProblems as a resource when publishing articles relevant to Internet Service Providers. Further reading
