One Way State is a Canadian modern rock group from Edmonton, Alberta. The band is composed of Cody Mack and Nick Moir on guitars and vocals, bassist Brandon Thomas and drummer Charley Jeske. History Their debut EP One Way State, released in 2010, and garnered significant airplay on Canadian campus radio. The album debuted at #19 on CJSR's campus radio chart. In February 2011, One Way State was nominated for an Edmonton Music Award for Best Live Performance. By that time the band had released two singles. Their second EP, The Right Time, was released on March 16, 2012, to mostly positive reviews, and was followed by another Edmonton Music Award nomination for Artist To Watch.
