Once Human is an American based melodic death metal band, formed in 2014. The group currently consists of Lauren Hart (vocals), Logan Mader (guitars), Damian Rainauld (bass) and Ralph Alexander (drums). After being announced to the public in May 2015, the band released a song from their debut album, to be released on September 4, 2015 via earMUSIC. History Once Human began in late 2014 after multi-instrumentalist Lauren Hart was introduced to Logan Mader by Mader's friend, ex-Roadrunner Records A&R and current Nuclear Blast Entertainment head Monte Connor, in order to produce some new music. After working together for a while, the pair decided to escalate the work into a full project, with Hart moving to vocals full-time and local musicians Damian Rainauld and Ralph Alexander completing the lineup. Mader is best known for his work with Machine Head and Soulfly but had not recorded as an artist since appearing on 2005 compilation Roadrunner United and had not performed in a band setting since the dissolution of Stereo Black in 2003, having instead focussed on production work for the likes of Gojira, Periphery and Five Finger Death Punch. Having recorded a full-length album together, the group announced their intentions as Once Human on May 26, 2015 and released debut single "The Life I Remember" the same day. The group will be signed to earMUSIC in order to release their debut album, The Life I Remember, on September 4, 2015.
