Oleh Humeniuk is the CEO at the WePlay Holding esports corporate group and the COO of TECHIIA holding. Biography Oleh was born in Chortkiv, a city in the west part of Ukraine, where he went to the Chortkiv preparatory school #1 until 2003. After graduating from his local school in 2003, Oleh entered the National Technical University of Ukraine Kyiv Polytechnic Institute to study computer-integrated technological processes and production. During his college years, he participated in various extracurricular activities, including playing on the university rugby team . After completing his studies, he got his diploma in 2009. In 2019, he entered the City Business School and got a Master of Business Administration and Project Management degree. Besides, Oleh Humeniuk holds Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). WePlay Holding path In 2019, he joined WePlay Esports as the general manager. He worked on developing and implementing growth strategies, improving revenue, and evaluating performance and productivity WePlay! Bukovel Minor 2020 became the most successful Minor in the history of DPC . It’s worth mentioning that Bukovel is a rather challenging location for an event , but Oleh together with the WePlay Esports team managed to outperform all the previous Minors. Already in 2020, Oleh was promoted to WePlay Esports CEO. While WePlay Esports has quickly transformed from a tournament operator into a media holding company, new areas for development appeared. Oleh became in charge of supporting WePlay Esports’ aspiration to become a leading esports media holding company. Now he is creating and implementing the organization’s vision and overall direction. Contributing to the development of the company, Oleh discovered several new esports titles. In 2020, WePlay Esports was among the first to host VALORANT tournament WePlay! VALORANT Invitational, and in 2021, the company tried its hand in Rocket League by hosting the WePlay Esports Invitational featuring Rocket League. Oleh Humeniuk, CEO of the WePlay Holding esports group that owns the WePlay Esports Arena L.A., aligned efforts with the foundation and provided the WePlay Esports Arena L.A. to record the speakers’ statements. TECHIIA Holding As COO of TECHIIA Holding, Oleh Humeniuk develops new business areas, creates business strategies, and nurtures and streamlines internal processes. Records Under his leadership, the company reached several milestones — holding the most-watched Dota 2 Major WePlay AniMajor and broadcasting the record-breaking PGL Major Stockholm 2021. The Russian-language broadcast of the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 by WePlay Esports had a peak viewership of over 865,000. Since 2022, the company started focusing more on Ukrainian-language broadcasting, like during esports tournament BLAST Premier 2022 Spring Finals. According to Esports Charts, the Ukrainian-language broadcast of the 2022 Spring Finals got a record number of viewers among CS:GO event broadcasts in Ukrainian for the time being — 33,000 people.
