Octoshape is a proprietary streaming media platform. Octoshape is primarily designed to provide resilient and high quality streaming over best effort networks. It achieves this by leveraging viewers bandwidth via a Peer-to-peer network. Since the protocol is Peer-to-peer based, high quality streams are not subject to latency and packet loss like traditional streaming technologies, therefore server infrastructure is not required in region. It has the option of using a secure suite of multicast technologies, including a simulated multicast to minimize the bandwidth for any CDN, ISP, broadcaster, or last mile provider to stream material.
