Árni Grétar (born 6 December 1983) is an Icelandic musician. Árni Grétar was born and raised in the southern Westfjords of Iceland and lived in Tálknafjörður until 2006 when he moved to the capital Reykjavík. Árni Grétar spent his years in Tálknafjörður in writing music in the software ReBirth RB-338, where he produced music under the monikers Arnie G. and Karl Marx and was in the internet band Assault & Battery. He was also a founding member of the band Equal, and was later in the electronica band Tabúkka. In the year 2007 Árni Grétar began to release music under the artist name Futuregrapher. Futuregrapher became a big part of the local Weirdcore scene, led by Sigurbjörn Þorgrímsson (aka Biogen) and Tanya Pollock (PLX). Futuregrapher has since been busy playing live and releasing music and is considered to be one of the most active electronica producers in Iceland. In 2011 Árni Grétar and Jóhann Ómarsson (aka Skurken]) founded the record label Möller Records. It was first named TomTom Records - but the Dutch manufacturer Tom Tom threatened legal action over the use of that name. Möller Records have been busy, releasing a slew of albums and EPs, as well as helping to curate a night at 2011 Iceland Airwaves with the former Weirdcore collective.
