Non-random mutation

Non-random mutations of the GUToB Theory are mutations that result from bio-physico-chemical mechanisms. The position of non-random mutations , i.e. where they occur in a DNA strand, moves away from utterly being stochastic. Two types can be distinguished:
1) “Veri” (or “true”) non-random mutations, meaning non-random with respect to nucleotide and position;
2) “Quasi” (or: “almost”) non-random, meaning non random with respect to position only.
The result of non-random mutations is homoplasy, the occurrence of the same sequence or gene rearrangements independent of common descent.
