Niteen Dedhia is an Ophthalmology specialist and Medical Director of OJAS Laser Eye Surgery Centre Medical career Dedhia is has a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery graduate degree. He selected specialization in Ophthalmology as a specialty in medicine. He has gained his recognition for various advanced eye correction and Lasik treatments. In the year 1994, he attended the International conference on Cataract & Refractive Surgery in Hong Kong and was trained in Phacoemulsification with Foldable Intra Ocular Lens Implantation techniques. After successful completion of the course, he attended an American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) meeting in San Francisco and was admitted as an international member of the ASCRS. Malpractice lawsuits In 2009 the Maharashtra Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission found Dedhia guilty of negligence and ordered him to pay 12 lakh rupees to two patients who had lost sight in one eye following surgery.
