Dr Philip Dobson graduated from the London Hospital Medical College (University of London) with the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He holds Full Registration with the General Medical Council(GMC). After completing house jobs and vocational training he entered general practice where he worked as a partner and principal General Practitioner for over 8 years.
Dr Dobson went into private medicine working as Medical Director and subsequently Director of Refractive Eye Surgery for a national laser vision correction organisation.
It was during his work in the laser vision correction industry that he then became involved in aesthetic medicine and cosmetic treatments, undertaking additional training in skin laser, Intense Pulsed Light, botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, Sculptra™, sclerotherapy and other treatments.
Dr Dobson established a successful consultancy company (Laser Care Services Ltd) to help organisations registering with the Healthcare Commission.
In addition to training in cosmetic and aesthetic medicine, Dr Dobson holds qualifications in laser safety. He is a Chartered Radiation Protection Practitioner and Certificated Laser Radiation Protection Adviser (RPA2000). In 2006 Dr Dobson was elected a full Member of the Society for Radiological Protection.
Dr Dobson retains a keen interest in clinical treatments and works in a number of clinics. He founded a “state of the art” medical aesthetic treatment centre (The Beaufort Clinic) based in Milton Keynes where he is Medical Director. He is an full Member of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors (BACD) and a Fellow of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr Dobson also holds the judicial appointment of Justice of the Peace. He sits on the Milton Keynes Bench in the Thames Valley Area.
