NG Media Server

NG Media Server is a unified streaming and real time communication server software developed by NG Media.
NG Media Server allows streaming live and on demand video and audio content to PCs, tablets, smartphones, IPTV and other IP network connected devices.
In addition, NG Media Server enables video, audio and text chat services within web pages. Version 5 currently includes both 64-bit and 32-bit native Windows binaries. Linux support is expected in version 6.
NG Media Server can stream HD video (1080p, 2160p, 4320p, also known as Full HD, 4K Ultra HD, 8K UHD) optimized according to the viewer’s equipment and bandwidth (Variable Bit Rate, VBR), with transcoding and video overlay support.
NG Media Server is based on standard protocols for streaming (HLS, RTSP, …), communications (WebRTC, SIP, …), speech synthesis and recognition (MRCPv2), Video (H264, VP8) and Audio (AAC, Opus, G711, G729).

Usage
* Video On Demand (VOD) : streaming of videos stored on the server.

History
Version 1 (2003): this version originally provides Audio Media Processing with ISDN boards. The original product name was Comisdn TAPI.
Version 2 (2004): added support for VoIP (SIP) and Fax Media (T38).
Version 3 (2006): the product name was changed to Comisdn CSCS (Comisdn SIP Communication Server).
Version 4 (2008): added native support for 64 bits platforms.
Version 5 - Beta 1 (2013): presented at Réseaux et Télécoms 2013 Paris, this release includes support for WebRTC and Video Media. This version is an alternative to Adobe Flash Media Server, Wowza Streaming Engine and Dialogic PowerMedia XMS. The product name was changed to NG Media Server.
Version 5 - Beta 2 (2013): presented at WebRTC Conference & Expo 2013 Santa Clara, this release provides a web-based graphical interface and a REST API.
Version 5 (2014): presented at WebRTC Paris 2014, this version introduces HTTP Live Streaming support.
