"Nervous Melvin and the Mistakes."Leader, Dennis N Ledford (Guitar). Charles (Todd) B Bensenhaver III MD (Vocal), with Joseph Scott Lanford (on drums) and Donald Watson (on bass guitar). Started at Centre College in the early 1980's by Bensenhaver and three other students, the band quickly gained a loyal following on the college circuit. Unlike many bands of this ilk, which often disband when the original members graduate, Nervous Melvin has evolved into a staple of the Louisville music scene for now, over 20 years. Known for their roller coaster ride performances, this group, much like Louisville's own "Monarchs," as been a local favorite for decades.
