National Association of Physical Literacy

The National Association of Physical Literacy (NAPL) is a non-profit organization based in Hartford, Connecticut.
The organization, co-founded by Steven Boyle in 2015, offers physical literacy-based programing, certification, training, and curriculum. NAPL's programing begins in preschool and is designed to continue onto high school.
NAPL's curriculum includes cooking, gardening, movement skills, and mindfulness. NAPL's programing has been piloted in many schools and has shown a connection between the physical literacy programs that NAPL teaches and positive performance in the classroom. NAPL's video series “BrainErgizers”, designed to encourage physical activity in the classroom, is in use in in 15 states and in Canada, Mexico, Ireland and Australia in both schools and Boys and Girls Clubs.
