Richard Douieb

Richard Douieb, born in 1956 in Jerusalem, is a Krav Maga expert and founder of the FEKM (European Federation of Krav Maga or Fédération Européenne de Krav Maga in French). He significantly contributed to the popularization of Krav Maga in Europe after being appointed by Imi Lichtenfeld to be the official representative of the discipline on this continent in 1987.
Biography
Richard Douieb has lived in France until the age of 16. At the age of 17, he returned to Israel and enrolled himself in the military. He then met Imi Lichtenfeld, instructor in the Israeli army at this time, and discoved Krav Maga. He came back to France in 1980.
In 1897, after being officially delegated as the represantant of the discipline in Europe, Richard decides to devote his life to the expansion of Krav Maga.
After several years of existence in France, Krav Maga begins to gain more and more popularity. In response to growing demand, Richard Douieb decides to create the European Federation of Krav Maga (FEKM).
Richard received his 5th degree Krav Maga black belt in 1995 and the sixth degree in 2000. He also owns black belts in the other martial arts he practiced .
