Narendra Bhooshan (born 12 March 1969) He is currently the Principal Secretary to Government of Uttar Pradesh for the Energy & Additional energy source Department & Panchayati Raj Department, Lucknow. Bhooshan is a graduate in BE ECE (Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Electrical Communication) from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh and has completed M.A. Economics (Post-Graduate) from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra. Early life and education Narendra Bhooshan hails from Bhatinda, Punjab. He completed his elementary and secondary education from his hometown. After completing his secondary education, he got his degree in Bachelor of Electronics & Electrical Communication from Punjab Engineering College, Punjab University, Chandigarh. He has also completed his master’s degree in M.A. Economics from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra, UP. Career Narendra Bhooshan is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer with a career spanning over 25 years. He began his career as an Assistant Magistrate and Assistant Collector in Hardoi from 30 August 1993 to 16 August 1994. His first posting as a District Magistrate was in Udham Singh Nagar (now in Uttarakhand) from 28 March 1998 to 21 July 2000. He has also served as the District Magistrate of Mathura and Firozabad. From 2015 to 2018, he was the Joint Secretary & Mission Director National Food Security Mission in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi. He was also DDG, Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Government of India from July 2016 to July 2018. In addition, Bhooshan served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority from 2018 to 2022. He also held CEO positions at the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) and the Uttar Pradesh State Highway Authority (UPSHA). Throughout his career, he has served as the Principal Secretary to the Government of Uttar Pradesh in various departments, including the Public Works Department and the Science & Technology Department, Industrial Development Department among others.
