M. Angamuthu

M. Angamuthu is an Indian IAS officer from 2002 batch.
He is the Chairman of Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority, an organization of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. and State commissioner and secretary of tourism department Government of Assam.
Career
Angamuthu began his career from district of Assam Jorhat as an Assistant Collector. He has started various changes during his tenures as District Collector in five different Assam districts. Angamuthu became VC and CEO Guwahati Metropolitan Development Authority.
He was appointed State Commissioner and Secretary, Tourism Department, Government of Assam in 2018.
In 2020, Angamuthu was appointed chairman of Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority under the department of commerce.
In 2020, Angamuthu signed a MoU anouncing that the Assam Government will be hosting the next edition of Filmfare in Guwahati.
