Aaron Burnett (born July 9th, 1989), better known by his stage name N-Rimes, is a Canadian rapper, model, director, and fashion designer from Toronto, Ontario. He attended C.W. Jefferys Collegiate Institute for three years before switching to Fletcher's Meadow Secondary School for his final year of high school. Before making music his career, he was often recognized for his commitment and talent in poetry writing. The origin of his name comes from his lifelong goal to be an inspiration to his peers. First inventing the name "Nation's Rhymes", Burnett later shortened it to N-Rimes. Also creating the acronym - "Rapping In Music Expressing Self". In a March 2012 interview with GetYourBuzzUp, Burnett said some of his biggest influences are Big Pun, Nas, and The Diplomats. He is signed to Rimes Management, the artist management company founded by himself in 2012. His debut EP is set to be released in 2016. 2009-13: Beginnings and affiliation with Sean Kingston Burnett began by recording his music in the basement of his grandmother's house. He taught himself the process of audio mixing by trial and error. Determined to be recognized, Burnett directed and shot his music videos downtown Toronto and posted them on YouTube. In September 2009, Rimes released his debut mixtape The N Of The Game Volume 1 on DatPiff. Kingston met with Rimes at Justin Bieber's, My World Tour where they became acquainted for the first time. Kingston invited him to his video shoot for a cameo in "" which later released in December 2010. Burnett received major recognition for his music kept his audience engaged on social media. In August 2011, he released another project titled Old School Meets New as the prelude to his next mixtape. Around that time there were superstitions within many religious beliefs that the year 2012 would mark as the end of the world. As a marketing tactic, Burnett revealed on Old School Meets New that his next official mixtape would be titled The N Of The World. Six months later on January 1st 2012, he released the mixtape. A few weeks later followed the fatal shooting of his mother's sister Andrene Graham. Devastated by his loss, Rimes took a hiatus from music for most of the year in which he took time to reflect. He decided to take down all his mixtapes off the internet after establishing his artist management company, Rimes Management in November 2012. Burnett signed himself to his company, and has released new music exclusively on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, SoundCloud, Spotify, and ReverbNation. In December 2012, Burnett released his debut single under Rimes Management titled "Silent Rivers Run Deep", on iTunes. "Silent Rivers Run Deep" is also the first official single for his forthcoming EP. The music video was shot in Brampton, Ontario. In the song he addresses mourning the loss of his aunt and other hardships he experienced since her death. In March 2013, Burnett released his single "Life I Live" for free download on SoundCloud. The song features one of his artists under Rimes Management, J-Jera. The music video was shot at various locations in the Jane and Finch area where he grew up, Burnett's artist, J-Jera is also featured on the song. The music video was shot in Toronto at Don Valley Brick Works. In July 2013 he released his freestyle rap video "Young Determination". In the freestyle he addresses the importance of harnessing a skill and staying motivated in order to succeed. In August 2013, Burnett released his single "Pocahontas" for free download on SoundCloud. The song is produced by K.E. on the Track and the music video was shot in Montreal. ==2014-present: "Living The Dream", debut EP, and model career== In March 2014, Burnett released the third single for his EP, "The Glow" on iTunes. The music video is set to release early 2016. In the song he addresses his newly gained success as an independent artist and business man. In August 2014, Burnett released his fourth single for his EP, "Living The Dream" on iTunes. Inspired by the song title, Rimes created his own merchandise collection. The success of his marketing campaign was recognized and posted by widely known social media blog, TheShadeRoom. A few months later his campaign was also posted by another popular social media blog, BallerAlert. As a model for his own merchandise campaign, Burnett was discovered by model scouts in Toronto. In April 2015, Burnett participated as a brand ambassador in the spring campaign for Zara (Canada). A few months later Burnett released his fifth single for his EP, "Fall Back" on iTunes. In the song he details his frustration with an ex-girlfriend who rejects his attempts at affection. The music video is set to release November 2015. Rimes' EP title will be announced at a later date and is scheduled to release in 2016.
