Mustapha Bala Getso was born on 22 August 1984, in Kano State, his father Alhaji Bala Getso is a business tycoon from Getso, Gwarzo Local Government Area of Kano State

Mustapha was the alumni of Abubakar Tafawa balewa University Bauchi
Politics
Getso was the youngest Activist of the 21st Century to lead the Nigerian youth to established a Political Party for young Nigerians, New Progressive Movement (NPM) where INEC issued certificated of registration in January 2018 and Getso became the first National Party Chairman of the party and the youngest National Party Chairman among all the Nigerian parties Chairmen during his term in office, although Independent National Electoral Commission deregistered 74 pollical parties after 2019 Nigerian General Election among the 91 political parties in Nigeria which NPM is among. The former Vice President and the Nominee in 2019 Nigerian General Election,Atiku Abubakar invited Mustapha to join their party.
Getso was the NPM nominee for the seat of Governor of Kano State in 2019 Nigerian General Election BBC Hausa Section selected Getso as one of the 5 Candidate out of the 55 Governorship candidates in Kano State who participated in the Gubernatorial debate including the Incumbent Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of All Progressive Congress (APC), Abba Kabir Yusuf of (PDP), Salihu Sagir Takai of Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) and Maimuna Muhammad of United Progressive Part (UPP) which was organized by BBC Hausa Section
Getso was the National President of National Association of Kano Students (NAKSS) between 2008 and 2010 while he was undergraduate of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi
