MovieJam Studios is a German production company based in Taufkirchen, producing movies, advertisements and documentaries, as well as feature films. MovieJamStudios was founded by Alexander Spöri, Luca Zug, Julian Heiß, Colin Maidment, Charlotte Kroke as a production company in 2015. It was officially established in 2015, although the group remained a lot longer. MovieJam Studios consists of five 15 year olds from Bavaria. Movie Jam Studios is Germany's best production company in their age and have won the title for "Germany's best youth movie". History 2009-2015: Getting into the industry In 2009, being only 8 years old, the two founders Alexander Spöri and Luca Zug got interested in movies and the process behind them. Quickly they produced their first movie on an amateur level. The two like minded went on to produce their first big better movie called "The NSA Affaire". This film was made for their German lessons. Having watched the movie their German teacher Karin Hauser was very impressed and supported them. The students visited the Bundesnachrichtendienst, an IT-Specialist, ITCube, had an interview with the German Telekom and other interesting contact persons. During production they even discovered unknown facts about the affaire. Due to the critical opinion presented in the film it was never published. The premiere at the school of the filmmakers was successful nevertheless. The students didn't stop there. They the began production on a 30-minute long documentary about the munich massacre at the Olympic Games in 1972. The teenagers shot in munich, in the Olympiapark, the Olympic village, inside the central station, as well as Rome. Olympia '72 was presented by the Bavarian radio station (BR)] They had interviews with important people like the leading director for education and politics Werner Karg, as well as eye witnesses from the Fliegerhorst Fürstenfeldbruck. They were able to find sponsors and supporters. The Medienzentrum München, as well as Telefonica supported the filmmakers with a budget. Well known filmmakers like Rodney Sewell and Sebastian Wild noticed MovieJam Studios and helped them. Rodney Sewell advised the young producers. He was kind enough to give the kids a chance to do the final cut, two weeks, in a professional Studio at the Theresienwiese. They did an intership at Rodney Sewell Filmproduktion. The big German live broadcasting corporation Sky Deutschland AG, responsible for live broadcasting the German soccer Bundesliga, and Bayerische Rundfunk involved MovieJam Studios in professional productions. Newspapers wrote articles and radio/tv channels supported the youth. MovieJamStudios became more famous. That's why they were able to show their big film in the Mathäser Filmpalast, the most well known cinema in Munich. Over 120 guests watched the awesome performance there. There were some other premieres as well, and IMDb inserted the movie too. You could often listen in the radio about the filmmakers. MovieJam Studios is the most famous and youngest production organization in Germany for their age and have already won a trophy for "the best youth movie in the whole country". After all, hotels, big companies, schools etc. involved the group for making professional clips and Imageclips. December 2015: Future MovieJamStudios will of course make movies in the future. Actually they are organizing a Thriller-and Horror-movie at the moment about sects and the devil, which is very complicated. This movie will be released in every single cinema in Munich in summer 2016. "Olympia '72" was and will still be broadcast on international television channels. Members MovieJamStudios consists of: Alexander Spöri, Luca Zug, Colin Maidment, Charlotte Kroke, Leon Sansaloni Dura und Julian Heiß. On the local radio channel Bayern 1 MovieJam Studios told, that more members will join the team.
