MOSS CULTURE
AGRICULTURE AND CATTLE FEEDING
Introduction

This article is written on the basis of two week research study of the cultivation of moss which is a very economic and easy cultivated cattle feed, and besides it is an agricultural bio-fertilizer.
The cultivation procedure is very simple and can be conducted in any microbiological lab.
The Collection of the Sample: - The sample can be collected from any wet and humid place that has also been shown in the photo-graph
The equipments needed: - A bacteriological incubator, moss sample, 250 ml conical flask, Petri-dish, Agar-Agar (emark Germany), cotton plugs





Procedure
Some fresh or semi dried moss sample is collected from any moist land or field it can also be from the walls of the old house. The agar solution is prepared in the 250 ml conical flask with 150 ml distil water and 25 gm Agar-Agar powder, the moss sample is transferred into the flask and the flask is placed in the incubator for 5 days in the temperature of about 29 - 31°C

Observation
The observation must be done after 24 hours or 48 hours to see the continuous growth of the moss colony. The pictures will make the experiments more clear.




Utility of Cultivation
This cultivation is mainly used for the herbal fertilizer, for different crop cultivation. Also can be used as animal fodder, due to high carbohydrate enrichment, moss is very good for the preparation of animal fodder.
