Early life
Morrow was born on February 10, 1957 in North Carolina, USA as eldest of 5 children.
Education
She has done her schooling from University High School, Irvine, California, 1975 and later went to the University of Hawaii-Manoa,1975-1978. Monique was inducted in Phi Eta Sigma and Phi Kappa, Societies during her university years, and graduated with BA in French with Great Distinction from San Jose State University in 1980. Monique has also earned Graduate Certificate in Information Systems, Decision Support Systems in 1984 from University of Southern California and went on to earn M.S Telecommunications Management from Golden Gate University in 1988. Later Monique completed MBA from the City University of Seattle, 1996 Swiss Programme.
Career
Monique's career at Cisco has included being promoted as Cisco's first Distinguished Consulting Engineer.
Monique represents Cisco at the North Carolina State University Strategic Advisory Board for the School of Computer Science:
Her role as Cisco Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Services, she is working with a cross Cisco Services leadership team in defining a cross segment customer reference architecture, defining long term technology strategy for services for the next 2-5 years, with the focus on the Internet of Everything, specifically to its implications to security and to Cloud Computing centric Federated Exchanges.
Monique is also an advocate for STEM Education for Girls and Boys in ICT having presented at the European Parliament and ITU-T on this topic.

Monique serves as the President of FTTH Council Asia-Pacific since 2010. She is the Vice Chair ITU-T Telecommunications Advisory Group,

Numerous work of Monique has received recognition and has been published. Developing IP-based Services: Solutions for Service Providers and Vendors, MPLS VPNSecurity, MPLS and Next-Generation Networks: Foundations for NGN and Enterprise Virtualization and A Cloud Based - Architecture for Cost-Efficient Applications and Services Provisioning in Wireless Sensor Networks are few of many books and journals that has been published.
Monique currently has 9 patent submissions filed with US Patent Office and she has three patents issued by the US Patent Office.
