moneyStrands is an online personal finance management service offered by Strands Labs, Inc., the developer of social recommendation and personalization technologies.
History
Strands, Inc. acquired Expensr in April, 2008, and launched moneyStrands, a personal money management solution. moneyStrands expanded further with the acquisition of NetworthIQ, a social personal finance website in May, 2008. In March, 2009, moneyStrands launched the first version of its native iPhone application. moneyStrands has been selected to participate in FinovateStartup09, the Finovate conference series organized by the banking technology research firm Online Financial Innovations, to be held in San Francisco on April 28, 2009.
Funding/ Investors
Strands has raised funding of $55M so far, with $49M raised in 2007. The investors include Spanish media mogul Antonio Asensio (owner and CEO of Grupo Zeta), and Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (a multinational Spanish banking group).
