Angry Lamb Studios Studios is a Pro Tools HD3 recording studio located in Long Island, New York and is owned and operated by producer and engineer, Josh Pillbox. The studio began in, Josh Pillbox's dorm room at Washington University in St. Louis in 2004. Angry Lamb Studios had locations in both St. Louis, Missouri and Long Island, New York until the summer of 2008 when the St. Louis location closed. Press In 2007, St. Louis's "Eleven" magazine hailed Angry Lamb Studios and its owner as the future of home recording studios. The article's focus was on the way studio owner, Washington University in St. Louis senior Josh Pillbox, was able to build a fully functioning, professional recording studio with the same equipment as the top-tier, multi-million dollar studios, in his home, while still in school, and using funds from student loans. At the time of the article, Angry Lamb Studios became one of the top studios in the area, even competing for clients with Jupiter Studios (famous for recording hit songs by top recording artist, Nelly). According to the article, "When most people think of a home recording studio, they imagine a laptop with a USB soundcard and a microphone or two. Josh Pillbox, a senior at Wash U had something completely different in mind when he founded Angry Lamb Studios." The article then goes on to discuss how new technologies in digital recording have allowed a college student to build a home studio unlike any other.
