Beginnings
Mohammed Al Ajlouni, an Electrical Engineering graduate of A&M University - Louisiana USA (1986,) has started his career as an engineer at Jordan Television, where he first set his path as he found himself gravitating towards what turned out to be a life-long fascination in television and broadcast news.
Joining ABC News in 1990, as a local representative, Al Ajlouni then expanded his activities to include regional news coverage as he later became ABC News’ Middle East Manager, covering assignments such as Somalia, Rwanda, Iraq, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon and various other Middle East events, bearing witness to some of the biggest news stories first hand.
A successful career coupled with ambition and passion naturally drove Al Ajlouni to a major development that marked his career as major contributor to the Broadcast & Media industry in the region. Al Ajlouni established his first company in 1993, Jordanian Multimedia Production (JMP), which production portfolio comprises over five thousand TV productions; from TV series, documentaries, news coverage, and productions for different news agencies such as EBU and APTN. Al Ajlouni successfully managed JMP, all the while he was on top of his job, as the M.E. Operations’ Manager for ABC News, meeting challenges and needs with efficiency and outstanding success.
Milestones
One of the main professional landmarks in Al Ajlouni’s career is his long and close working relationship with Peter Jennings (since 1990) which is highlighted by the securing of an exclusive interview with Saddam Hussein.
Other assignments gave him the opportunity to work with media giants like Ted Koppel, Diane Sawyer and Barbra Walters, on many occasions such as high profile interviews with H.M. King Hussein of Jordan and H.M. King Abdullah, as well as President Bashar Al Assad.
In 1997, Mohammed Al Ajlouni was chosen and appointed as Country Manager of the first international Arabic news satellite channel, Al Jazeera. Where his responsibilities encompassed managing Al Jazeera regional office and productions, in addition to managing and supervising the network's correspondents.
Mohammed Al Ajlouni's experience, integrity, and professionalism backed with an engineering background and an extensive knowledge of the broadcast media industry, allowed Al Ajlouni to be recognized as an industry authority as he established Arab Broadcast Services (ABS) in 2000; the first industry satellite uplinks, SNGs and broadcasting services provider in the Middle East.
In 2015, Mohammed El Ajlouni noticed a gap in the delivery of news in the MENA Region, and launched a news agency ARAB24 in hopes to fill the gap and deliver global news that will enable users to watch news in real-time, as it happens, where it happens and as it unfolds. Since then the news agency has gained a wide number of clients because of its large coverage of the entire MENA region.
Al Ajlouni’s latest project is a Television Channel JORDAN TODAY, which is expected to launch in early 2017, the channel is aimed to cover all aspects of everyday life whether it be social, political, economic, etc.

Industry dedication
Identifying a need created by the region's huge industry expansion in Satalite Telivision, Al Ajlouni founded Creative Multimedia Solutions (CMS) in 2004, a comprehensive TV productions and broadcast solutions offering turnkey multimedia services in Dubai Media City - UAE. CMS meets the Middle East’s needs of satellite channel preparation, managemnet, and operations and finally sold it in 2015.
Al Qiethara Satellite Channel was born in 2005, fulfilling Al Ajlouni’s ever recurring dream of owning a satellite channel. Al Qiethara is dedicated to Iraqi cultural interests such as arts, heritage, culture and music. A Deep understanding of Iraq and Iraqis is the main motivating power in raising the bar and filling the gap of Iraqi Arts in the satellite TV realm. Al Qiethara started broadcasting in the first quarter of 2007 on ArabSat & Hot Bird and was able to capture the entertainment market in Iraq and create an audience following across the region.
As a US citizen, Al Ajlouni established ABS Network, with presences in Washington D.C.; connecting Jordan office with the US office via a Fiber-Optic. This connection is expected to serve as the cornerstone for an Arab-American channel Jordan Today, which will broadcast to the Middle East Region and USA simultaneously, as is scheduled to commence broadcasting early 2017.
