Mickey Renaud

Mickey Renaud (born on October 5, 1988 in Tecumseh, Ontario) is a Canadian ice hockey player. He is 6'2" tall and weighs 217 pounds. He plays as a centre, and shoots left. He has played for the Windsor Spitfires since 2004, when he was drafted in the 7th round, 127th overall. As a player, he stands out with his physical and aggressive play. His impeccable timing and leadership on the ice makes him a valuable asset and a force to be reckoned with. He was selected in the 5th round, 143rd overall, by the Calgary Flames in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft held in Columbus. Renaud will attend the Calgary Flames Conditioning Camp for the team’s prospects from July 15 – 22 at the Don Hartman Northeast Sportsplex.

Family History in the NHL
Renaud currently lives in Tecumseh, Ontario with his parents and his siblings. His father is former NHL defenceman Mark Renaud. Mark Renaud was drafted to the Hartford Whalers (now the Carolina Hurricanes) in 1979 and later went on to play for the Buffalo Sabres before retiring in 1985 with 152 games under his belt. Both Renauds were drafted to the NHL in the 5th round selection.
