Brendan Perlini

Brendan Perlini (born April 27, 1996) is a British-born Canadian ice hockey player. He is currently playing in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Niagara IceDogs. Perlini was drafted by the Barrie Colts in the 1st round (16th overall) of the 2012 OHL Priority Selection. Perlini is rated as a top prospect who is viewed as a possible Top 10 selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Perlini was born in England, where his father was playing professional hockey as a member of the Guildford Flames. In September 2007, he and his family moved to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. Perlini started the 2012-13 OHL season with the Barrie Colts, joining the Niagara IceDogs midway through his rookie season. During the 2013-14 season he was recognized for his outstanding play when he was chosen to compete in the 2014 CHL Top Prospects Game.
Family
He is the son of the former National Hockey League centre, Fred Perlini,. His older brother, Brett, was selected in the 7th round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the Anaheim Ducks.
