Michael S. Pickens

Michael Steven Pickens (born October 18, 1974) is the former President and current council member of the city of Hueytown, Alabama. In October of 2009 Michael ran unopposed and is currently serving in his second term on the city council. He is currently on the University of Alabama Information Technology Board of Advisors - Junior Board. Education Michael graduated from the University of Alabama Birmingham in 1999 with a degree in Management Information Systems. He is a certified project management professional (PMP) as of November 11th, 2008. Early career Michael was the webmaster for the Jefferson County Commission from 2001-2006 when he took a position as Manager of Web Development for Colonial Properties Trust located in Birmingham, Alabama.
