Martha Robertson

Martha Robertson is a member of the legislature of Tompkins County, New York. Robertson is running for Congress against two-term Tea-Party incumbent Tom Reed in New York's 23rd congressional district. She is a member of the Democratic Party.
Career
Robertson graduated from Cornell University in 1975 with a degree in Early Childhood Education, and was Director of the President's Council of Cornell Women. Robertson would later work as a teacher.
Robertson has served on the Tompkins County legislature since 2002, and as chair of the legislature since 2010. She also serves as chair of the Tompkins County Industrial Development Agency.
2014 Congressional Candidacy
Robertson is the Democratic nominee in New York's 23rd congressional district. Robertson has been endorsed by EMILY's List and by Women's Campaign Fund.
