Michael Rosenblatt

Michael Rosenblatt is an A&R executive in the music industry.
Personal life
Rosenblatt was born on May 26, 1957 in New York City to Eddie Rosenblatt, co-founder of Geffen Records. The family moved from New York to Cleveland, and then to Los Angeles where Eddie co-founded Geffen Records with David Geffen.
Career
In the summer of 1977, Rosenblatt moved back to New York from California. He started in music at Sire Records, working for Seymour Stein. At Sire Records, Rosenblatt focussed on A&R. He discovered and signed Madonna, The B-52's, Soft Cell, M, Depeche Mode, and The The. He departed Sire to join MCA, Geffen and WEA UK, discovering and signing Bronski Beat, The Commanards, Christopher Williams, Nitzer Ebb, Betty Boo, Praise, The Murmurs, Semisonic, New Radicals and many others.
He has also worked with The Pretenders, XTC, Aztec Camera, Jennifer Holiday, and was responsible for soundtracks such as Les Miserable, Miss Saigon, Half Baked and the 1999 Kevin Costner film, For the Love of the Game.
Rosenblatt returned to MCA in 1993. Several years later, he moved to LA to work in their west coast office.
After leaving MCA, he formed a management company. During that time he discovered and managed bands like Augustana and Hockey.
He is currently Senior Vice President and Head of A&R at LP33.tv.
