Michael McPartland (born 8 July 1978) from Middlesbrough is a British quizzer and civil servant who has won several titles in quizzing. A member of the team that won 2015's Punch Taverns/Carling Great British Pub Quiz, he followed up this success with individual victory in the LightSpeed Quiz series in the same year. He plays in the Wearside Quiz League where, also in 2015, he won the League, Cup and Pairs treble. He is a regular participant at Quiz In The North events. In 2014 he finished 3rd in Mastermind, behind fellow Teessider Clive Dunning. This achievement led to quiz hosting gigs. In 2018 he appeared on a Only Connect special as a member of the Footballers, against the Korfballers, having appeared on the show several years earlier. In 2020 he won £64,000 on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. |
