Dexter Andres Rosa Monsalve (born July 19, 1987) commonly known as Dexter Rosales is a soccer player from the United States who at the moment is injured due to a Achilles tendon rupture . He usually plays as a attacking midfielder, and can also be used as an Striker on either wing.
Rosales was born in Miami, Florida where he played for an array of local sides as a youngster and showed great promise as a goal-scorer. In High School Miami Sunset High School Rosales won 2 National Championship back to back leading the discovery of Rosales to the by former coach Bruce Arena. Rosales was later spotted by River Plate scout in 2007 and signed instantly for the reserve team, making his professional debut in 2007 against Rosario Central. At River Plate Rosales had a misunderstanding that led to numerous of feuds with his head coach and decided to part ways, his last game against Independiente Rosales scored a hat-trick leaving the fans disappointed of his departure.

When Rosales was seven, his mother allowed him to join an organized league, and he scored seven goals in his first game. Rosales was a member of (AYSO) - a non-profit soccer organization in Miami, Florida Hammocks Park 1997. In 2000, he was accepted into U.S. Youth Soccer’s Olympic Development Program. He attended Miami Sunset High School where he won 3 state Championships and 2 National Championship, Rosales became 3-Times County Player for his 4 years in High school. In 2003, Rosales 16 years of age was already in U-17, U-20 and U-23. Rosales got offered 13 Scholarships at the end of his senior year, Refusing them led to River Plate signing.
Club career
Club Atletico Junior
In 2008 Rosales went in search of culture going to his mothers birthplace Barranquilla, Colombia, where he had an opportunity to play for the local professional club Junior. Rosales was placed in the first team and was outrage for being benched and in the reserve squad after just one month, this situation led to another confrontation with Head Coach Dragan Miranovic. Both Rosales and Miranovic where having opposite opinions. Rosales then told media that Miranovic never gave him a opportunity because he was "Gringo" ; Meaning white in a Hispanic countries (American). Upset Rosales saw a opportunity when the transfer market opened and left the squad without permission.
Valencia C.F.
In July 2010 Rosales decided Europe was a better road for soccer. He welcomed to Valencia in Valencia where he made the 2division and following to call up practice with the first division. Rosales was offered a 1 year contract where Rosales then refused, it is yet to know the motive. Rosales made a big impact with the second division squad scoring 11 goals in only a few appearances. Rosales was then scouted to play in the Eredivisie league with Netherlands most powerful team.
AFC Ajax
In 2011 Rosales was motivated to play in the Eredivisie with Ajax. He started "B" Squad where he began to show great skills and potential. Then in March of 2011 he was moved to "A" Team, being part of the starting 11 in the practice he showed great sportsmanship and leadership wining the acknowledgment of Manager Frank de Boer. In late October Rosales suffered a Achilles tendon rupture. he flew to Miami, Florida where he received a successful surgery.
Personal life
Rosales resides in his home in Miami, Florida where his married with Colombian Model Karen Ramos. He has one brother named Jafet(16) where he plays soccer for his high school and runs track. Rosales is involved in the stock market and investments in the U.S. He also owns
a clothing line in Australia wheres his planing to open in Miami late 2012.
