Michael Lajtay

Michael Lajtay (Pronounced "Lay-tay") (born 1966) is an entrepreneur and the CEO of Jugular, Inc., a manufacturer of performance drinks aimed at the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and fitness markets.
Early years
In 1980 Mr. Lajtay's family relocated to Orange County, California. Mr. Lajtay graduated from Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach, California in June 1984. Upon completing Advanced Placement coursework, his High School Principal nominated him to receive a Presidential Academic Fitness Award, which he received from President Ronald Reagan in June 1984. During High School, Mr. Lajtay also completed his college level math classes while attending Golden West College in Huntington Beach, California.
Education
Mr. Lajtay received his B.A. from Claremont McKenna College (CMC) in Claremont, California in May 1988, majoring in Economics. Mr. Lajtay completed science classes at Harvey Mudd & Pomona Colleges. He also had an opportunity to take a class from legendary management Professor Peter Drucker, who was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President George W. Bush in 2002.
Career and Jugular, Inc.
Mr. Lajtay is the CEO of Jugular, Inc. in Huntington Beach, California. Jugular is the manufacturer of the Jugular Performance Drink - featuring the tagline “Go for the JUGULAR!”. The company also manufactures the “Shamrock Slam” Performance Drink, under an exclusive license with UFC Hall of Fame Inductee and former WWF World Champion Ken Shamrock. Mr. Lajtay overseas a team of physicians and chemists, serving as the company’s lead product developer.<ref name="Business Week"/> He has appeared in numerous publications, including The Los Angeles Times, License Magazine, Sportswear International, Entrepreneur Magazine as well as a book published by the Entrepreneur Press entitled, “Extreme Entrepreneur”.<ref name="LA Times" />
