Michael J. Trout

Michael James Trout (born November 16, 1967) is an American entrepreneur. He is the Founder and Chief Evangelist of EDUIT Inc, which is a 501c3 behind the eSingularity Movement. In May 2010, the European Commission Institute for Prospective Technological Studies (IPTS) invited Trout as an expert on The Future of Learning to talk about new ways of learning new skills for future jobs. In 2009 he was accepted to attend TEDGlobal February 2010, but was subsequently booted by Bruno Giussani, TED Conferences European Director, for releasing their email exchange and for allegedly misrepresenting his affiliation with TED as a possible speaker and not making changes to his EDUIT video's to Bruno's satisfaction.

Autobiography
Trout was born Bethesda, MD at the Naval Hospital. When he was three his father moved his family to Palma De Majorca, Spain. His parents divorced when he was five. He was very dyslexic and was unable to read at nine, at which time he was enrolled in Malsis Predatory School in West Yorkshire, UK. He graduated from Clayton High School, Newcastle, Under-Lyme, UK. On his return to America he was re-enrolled into Lecanto High School in Florida and graduated at 19. Attended Florida State University and subsequently dropped out with a 1.2 GPA. He attended Tallahassee Community College graduating with a 3.8 GPA and re-entering FSU using a forgiveness policy that cleared his previous GPA. In 1994 he one of two undergraduates to be accepted to attend the Anthony Hopkins Royal National Theatre, Summer Acting Programme in London. On his reture he founded the Southern Shakespeare Festival. Trout's master class instructor, Alan Rickman, recommended Irina Brown to come direct the 1996 Southern Shakespeare Festival. In 1997 he was offered a scholarship to attend the University of Alabama/Alamaba Shakespeare Festival 2 year MFA program.
