Michael J. Maguire is an Irish digital artist. Career Maguire began his literary career in the theatre, and has been described as a "protégé" of the director and playwright Tomás Mac Anna. In 1983, he programmed a text adventure called Lost in Coolock, considered to be one of the first works of electronic literature created in Ireland. In 2019 he was invited to give a keynote lecture at the Electronic Literature Organization Conference & Media Arts Festival, the largest annual gathering of international scholars and practitioners working on electronic literature and literary games. Personal Life Maguire was born in Dundalk to Kathleen and Gerry Maguire.
