Mete Coban (born 19 July 1992) is a British Labour Party politician who has been a Councillor for Stoke Newington since the 2014 UK Local Elections. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of My Life My Say. My Life My Say Coban is best known for founding the All-Party Parliamentary Group on a Better Brexit for Young People and for contributing to the increase of turnout for young people at the 2017 UK General Elections, as well as for receiving the UK Government's National Democracy Change-Maker of the Year Award in 2018. Political career At the age of 21, Coban became the youngest ever elected Councillor in the London borough of Hackney in the 2014 UK Local Elections receiving 2,297 votes. He was re-elected in May 2018 with an increased vote of 2,581. In June 2018, he was elected as the Chair of the Skills, Economy & Growth scrutiny commission focusing on inclusive growth, transport and large scale economic regeneration in Hackney.
