MChad

Richard Marc Padilla (born January 3, 1993), better known by the stage name MChad, is an American-Filipino rapper from Hawaii. He came to notoriety after being offered two records contracts as a teenager, with the first coming from E1 Music when he was fifteen years old, and the second coming from Atlantic Records when he was seventeen years old, with him turning down both to finish high school and college, respectively.
Career
Padilla starting writing music when he was eight years old and gained local notoriety through doing various freestyles and cyphers in the community. Through a mutual friend, he met local emcees 4Words and C.R.A.S.H, who he worked with and with their help, released his first mixtape, entitled The Remix Intent in December 2009.
In March 2009, Padilla was offered a record contract from E1 Records after he had gained an notable amount of attention for his mixtape. He subsequently turned it down, citing that he wanted to finish high school before pursuing a record offer.
After a short hiatus, he decided to focus on mentoring his protege The Illtalian and returned to music with a performance with his mentor 4Words at the Burger King Band Champ competition, and released his second mixtape titled Last Place Victory in June 2010, and was offered a record contract by Atlantic Records in October 2010, where he again turned it down citing reasons wanting to finish college first. He graduated from Waimea High School in 2010, taking just three years and graduated with honors and a 3.8 GPA. He is currently is attending Hawaii Pacific University.
He currently is recording his debut album "Skylines", which will be released independently in June 2011.
