Matthew Clifford

Matthew Philip Clifford MBE (born 10 November 1985) is the co-founder and CEO of Entrepreneur First, a company builder with programmes in London and Singapore that supports engineers and computer scientists to build tech companies from scratch. He is also the co-founder of Code First: Girls.
Early life and education
After finishing school, he then attended Clare College, Cambridge, graduating with a bachelor's degree in History and Management, with . He graduated 1st in his Tripos for both Part I: History and Part II: Management. Upon graduating from Cambridge Clifford was awarded a Kennedy Scholarship. He spent a year at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he met his wife who was also a Kennedy Scholar.
Clifford sits on the boards of Tech For Trade and is Global Shaper at the World Economic Forum.
Philanthropy
In 2015 Clifford signed the Founders Pledge.
Honours and awards
Clifford was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2016 Birthday Honours for services to business.
