Matt Pelissier

Matthew "Matt" Pelissier (born March 16, 1977) is an American Drummer and producer who is known for being the first drummer and co-founder of alternative rock band My Chemical Romance. He founded Strong Arm Recording Studios, located in Harrison, New Jersey in 2006. He is currently the Drums in a band call Revenir and occasionally sings vocals and plays guitar.
My Chemical Romance
Pelissier co-founded the band My Chemical Romance with Gerard Way in 2001. Way played him a rudimentary version of "Skylines and Turnstiles" that he had recorded at home; Pelissier was impressed, and agreed to help Way by playing drums for a proper demo. Way and Pelissier soon recruited guitarist Ray Toro to the band. With the band's full lineup of Way on vocals, Way's brother Mikey Way on bass, two guitarists Toro and Frank Iero and Pelissier on drums the band recorded the band's first album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love in Pelissier's basement. They later recorded the band's second album Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge. Before going on tour to support the album band manager Brian Schecter asked Pelissier to leave the band.
