Mass Frenzy Basketball

Mass Frenzy Basketball is a non-profit AAU youth basketball organization based in western Massachusetts. As of October 2009 it consists of five girls teams (ages U11 thru U16) and a newly formed boys team. The Mass Frenzy organization was started in 2004 by Ralph Loos and Brian Klaes as a single girls team consisting mostly of players from Amherst, MA. The organization quickly grew into a regional operation with players joining the program from all over western Massachusetts. Currently players in the Frenzy organization hail from as far west as Lee, MA and as far east as Ware, MA.
Over the program's history it has achieved success in several prominent results in regional and national AAU tournaments. These results include:
* 2009 New England Regional Champions
* 2009 State Bronze Medalist (Division I)
* 2009 4th Place West Coast Nationals (San Diego, CA)
* 2009 Division I AAU National Qualifier
* 2009 Bay State Games Bronze Medalist
* 2008 Seacoast Shootout Champions
* 2008 New England Regional Champions
* 2008 State Bronze Medalist (Division I) - U16
* 2008 State 4th place (Division I) - U14
* 2009 West Coast Nationals Semi-Finalist (San Diego, CA)
* 2009 Division I AAU National Qualifier
In addition many of the Frenzy players were on the 2009 Bay State Games champion west team that was coached by Frenzy coaches Dave Proulx and Michelle Fernandes.
In the somewhat brief history of the organization it has produced several notable college players. Taylor DeSanty (Drury, MA) is now playing for Colby-Sawyer. Jamy Ferris (Dalton, MA) is playing for Nichols College. Cassandra Sicard (Northampton, MA) is playing for Holyoke Community College. Chelsea Burke (Southampton, MA) and Shannon Supczak (Palmer, MA) are playing for Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. McKenzie Doyle (Agawam, MA) is playing for Westfield State College.
