Living Dead Man Window To Worlds

Living Dead Man Window To Worlds is a horror novella written by Jed Butt, released as an e-book in 2009.
Plot summary
Jack Renfield the protagonist is working in his garage when he hears a commotion outside. As he opens the door he finds a horde of zombies and the heroine Myra battling them. He fights alongside her where he becomes infected with the virus the zombies carry. However this strain of virus is usually dormant until its host has died but in Jack Renfield the virus becomes after while he is still alive giving him increased fighting ability.
Jack becomes a member of The Hunters a group dedicated to the policing of paranormal activity. The groups leader a former priest named Mathias explains what they do to Jack by saying, “When everyone else is too afraid to deal with the problem then it becomes our problem.”
The problem and antagonist of the story appears through a window that serves as a portal between worlds. It appears as a slimy black goo capable of draining the physical energy of its victims. Much of the story revolves around finding out what the creature is, even suspecting the Norse God Loki, before it is revealed to be Tenok Vah Fourth of Nine ancient demons.
After Jack's first encounter with Tenok Vah he meets a character named Twitch at the armory that unites him with his signature weapons. A pair of shotgun pistols and taser gloves.
Throughout the story at critical events a psychic named Morgan will interrupt characters thoughts to give them emergency news. Such as when Tenok first emerges through the portal. She telepathically sends the name "Mathias" to the other hunters to tell them he is in danger.
Tenok is not Jack's only enemy as the virus begins to change his physical appearance. As his humanity begins to fade Jack's sanity also becomes an issue.
Kaine the Ninth of the Nine Demons rescues Jack from Tenok by teleporting him away from him. He then takes him into the window where he meets the First of the Nine demons Vlad Dracule. When Vlad abandons the Earth to its fate Kaine decides to stay in Vlad Dracules world, rather than risk fighting Tenok Vah.
Upon Jack's return to Earth through The Window he finds that Tenok Vah is demanding The Window, trying to take it from The Hunters.
The end is too good to spoil at this time.
Background
The book was originally on a blog written by the author that the author updated every week. At the time it was called Hunter's Chronicles: Dead Man. During its stint as a blog the book gained a cult following as it went through most of its first two chapters before the author removed the blog and began working on creating it in the form of a book.
The creator developed monsters for the book including The Nine Demons a mysterious ancient brotherhood of demons.
The title of the book Living Dead Man is a reference to its protagonist Jack Renfield, who contracts a virus that gives him some zombie like traits. The other part of the title Window To Worlds is a reference to the window in the book that serves as a gateway to other worlds.
