Mark M. Peterson

Mark Marvin Peterson (born June 4, 1960) is an Idaho businessman and philanthropist. He is the owner and president of the largest auto group in Idaho, Peterson Autoplex, with dealerships located in both Boise and Nampa. In its 2007 rankings of the Idaho's Top Private Companies prepared by KPMG, the Idaho Statesman ranked the auto group as the 17th largest private businesses in the state, falling from a rank of 13th in 2006. and has expanded in recent years. He is also involved with the Philippine population in Boise, has served the Boy Scouts for various years, and the community by coaching various youth sports teams. Peterson also donates to athletic and other programs in the Meridian School District and Boise School District.

Biography
Peterson was born on June 4, 1960 to Marvin and Jean Peterson in Boise, Idaho. He helped win two basketball state championships at Capital High School. Peterson served a church mission in the Philippines for two years where he learned to speak Tagalog. He married Cathy Peterson of Boise, Idaho on December 20, 1982 and graduated from Brigham Young University with a business degree. He currently resides in Eagle, Idaho.



Business Accomplishments

Under his direction, Peterson Automotive group has expanded to currently include the following franchises: Toyota, Lexus, BMW, Kia, Chrysler, Jeep, Chevrolet, Dodge, Scion, Cadillac, Buick, Pontiac. The auto group has also become what is now consistently one of the top private businesses in Idaho.
