Mark Holcomb is a guitarist in Haunted Shores and the progressive metal band Periphery. History Periphery Mark Holcomb initially joined Periphery in July 2011 after the departure of before being announced as a permanent member in October 2011. Haunted Shores Mark is the guitarist in the Black Metal inspired band Haunted Shores along with Misha Mansoor. Haunted Shores was the band that Mark was in prior to joining Periphery. Influences Mark was initially influenced by James Hetfield, Randy Rhodes, Dimebag Darrell and Guthrie Govan. Equipment Guitar Mark is endorsed by PRS guitars. He has a signature 6 string on PRS Custom 24 as well as a signature PRS SE. PRS is also working on a 7 string version. Live Mark, like the rest of Periphery, plays through an AxeFX on a live set. He uses a Yamaha THR10X for practice. Personal Mark is half Filipino. He has stated that he moved around the world a lot as a child<ref name=":0" />.
