Marcus Steven Papadopoulos (born September 1978) is a British propagandist, a frequent contributor to RT and the founder and former editor of Politics First, a bimonthly magazine with a claimed circulation of 1,000 which is no longer in circulation.
Papadopoulos is considered a pro-Assad campaigner and is known for his denial of the Srebrenica massacre. In December 2016, Papadopoulos tweeted:
In July 2017 Papadopoulos circulated pictures of him and Jeremy Corbyn at a pizzeria restaurant in his constituency of Islington north. In response to questions about this a Labour spokesperson stated: "Jeremy Corbyn had dinner with friends from Cypriots for Labour, during which they were joined briefly by Mr Papadopolous, who asked to be photographed with Jeremy. Photographs of Jeremy with members of the public do not mean he endorses their views."
Papadopoulos has sided with the government of Mainland China during the 2019-20 Hong Kong protests.
In January 2021, Papadopoulos used funds from unknown sources to commission the publication of "Arise, Rossiya: The Return of Russia to World Politics", a book in which he describes "Russia’s plan to fully resurrect the power and influence which it had globally wielded during the Soviet period."
