Marcus Bird

Marcus Bird (aka Cuss) is a Director, Photographer and Editor who works primarily within the music and film industries.
Born on January 29 1982 in Manchester, England, Marcus spent the early part of his career as a Graphic Designer in London.
Marcus has filmed and photographed musicians from a wide range of genres, such as B.B. King, Jools Holland, Keb' Mo', Rufus Wainwright, Annie Lennox, Sophie Solomon, , Des'ree, Nayekhovichi, and Julian Lloyd Webber during a documentary he co-Directed titled '48 Hours in Shanghai'. In the world of theatre, he has covered the likes of Alan Rickman, Joseph Fiennes, Ralph Fiennes, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, John Hurt, Fiona Shaw, Jonathan Pryce, Richard Briers, Timothy Spall and during the production of When Love Speaks at The Old Vic, Richard Attenborough.
He later met renowned Record Producer Kevin Shirley at the Marbella Club Hotel, and they began working together in New York the following year. Together they founded Rock Art Inc, a design company based within the music industry, and in Summer 2008 completed 'The Making Of' documentary of Joe Bonamassa's latest album 'The Ballad Of John Henry', released on February 23 2009. Recent works have included music videos for the band Jonny : Black, including a fan-filmed music video for their song 'Turn It Up', shot at The Printworks, Manchester England and a 'Making Of' documentary of the band's debut album 'The Last Report'.
