Marcio Stambowsky

Marcio "Macarrão" Stambowsky (February 22, 1959) is a practitioner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu, a coral belt (7th degree), a Judo brown belt and one of the six people (most commonly known as the "Famous Five") to have been promoted to Black Belt by the jiujitsu practitioner Rolls Gracie in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Biography
Marcio Stambowsky began his long Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu career in 1975 under the influence of his childhood friend Mauricio Motta Gomes. He learned the art from Rolls Gracie and shared the mats with some of the greatest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, including Romero Cavalcanti, Fábio Santos, Rickson Gracie, and Royler Gracie. Stambowsky also practiced freestyle wrestling, judo and sambo, and competed in tournaments in these martial arts as often as he could.
In 2007, Marcio and his son Neiman Gracie moved to the United States where they established their own academy, Gracie Sports/Macarra BJJ which is currently located in Norwalk, CT, continuing the work started in Brazil.
Marcio is currently the President and one of the founders of the Connecticut Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (CTBJJF).
