Malaysian Furniture Industry Council

From its humble beginnings in 1978, the Malaysian Furniture Industry Council (MFIC) has grown from strength to strength in tandem with the growth of the Malaysian furniture industry. It plays an instrumental role in shaping the rapid development of the industry through concerted efforts with relevant authorities.
Formerly known as the Federation of Malaysian Furniture Manufacturers and Traders Association (FMFMTA), MFIC achieved a milestone in 1991 when it was accorded national status as the sole recognised furniture body of Malaysia. This recognition was gazetted into the Malaysian Acts of Parliament under the auspices of the Malaysian Timber Industry Board.
As a furniture manufacturing and export driven national body, MFIC plays a catalytic role in assisting both the private and public sectors towards the promotion and development of the Malaysian furniture industry in the global marketplace. Consequently, not only is MFIC recognised nationally, it has also earned a strong reputation internationally.
Today, MFIC has direct membership of approximately 500 Malaysian furniture manufacturers and exporters throughout the nation.
