Lucinde

LUCINDE - THE MARCH TWIN
This is the title of a new historical novel of this name in three parts, as yet unpublished, currently being written by Desmond Hutchinson, about his Great Great Grandmother, born in San Domingo of French parents on 1 March 1798, one and a half hours after her elder twin: Zebée. But that was before midnight so that they had different birthdays, although twins. The first part deals with the twins' Mother, her escape from France during the revolution, to Baltimore and marriage to an Englishman, birth of two half sisters to the twins, death of her first husband, and marriage to the twins' father: Francis Touzi.
The second part deals with the twins' childhood, and Lucinde's adventures during the Napoleonic Wars, which ultimately took her with Zebée to England aged 12 in 1810, and ultimately their respective marriages.
The third part deals with their maturity, and the fast changing social attitudes that reflected Victorian England.
Lucinde has her own blog, comprising an inter-active diary posted generally daily for the current calendar year, except in Lucinde's time it is 1810, not 2010.
